Grip Dagen!

I recently made a trip to a special kind of bed & breakfast owned by Benoit
& Corinne.My stay there rendered an intimate and thrilling taste of
Provence.With the many tours around St. Jeanette, you may find among them
the travel experience to remember for a lifetime. I enjoyed an
all-inclusive stay in a home were the owners looked after you with the
personal touch of family. You can relax in the comfort of lovingly
appointed rooms, surrounded by the tranquil, majestic beauty of local
mountains, while being attended to with outward kindness and friendly
affection of local people. After a peaceful nights sleep, you can rise each
morning to bask in a culture and lifestyle you quickly learn to appreciate.
Amazingly free from the usual flow of tourists, the
local attractions of classic french bakeries, traditional butcher shop,
hairdresser,
with an assortment of quality restaurants featuring local fare with classic
presentation's.

You might by chance run into some of the local celebrities that make this
village their home so they can indulge their hobby of mountain climbing.

Morning meals were 'provencial-esc'. with Corinne's home made jam and an
amazing mix of fresh fruit and berries. One day we had a surprise lunch, a
"pique-nique à la française", consisting of cheese and wine from the
district, all enjoyed from the top of the mountain! I enjoyed personally
guided auto tours around the area to visit "arrière pays". After an
exclusive shopping trip with Corinne to a local market we made a broad
excursion into local shopping markets, then enjoyed a cooking course for
the afternoon fare, ultimately dining on the Provencals creation of my own
making !

I took a fantastic nature trip into the mountains on my own, but Corinne
and Benoit wished very much to tell the stories and recite local lore of
all the special attractions; telling me of the geography and historical
events.I lived in their hotel as a family member, and easily made friends
with the other guests. They were, like me,"Franco-enthusiasts", and our
conversation appropriately praised the region and it's people. While there,
we visited an Olive Farm and an Herb Factory where they prepared the most
excellent blends of herbs and their oil.We took a trip to a goat farm
where local herbs were blended into a fabulous cheese ("fromagerie"). We
also visited a local winery, where they practiced environmentally friendly
Bio-Methods of production.
From these visits we formed an invaluable bond with the ownerL`'auberge
des Baous or Frog's house.

You can find a wonderful relationship, the potnetial for lifelong freind's
at Frog's House, and that, is priceless!

Slapp av,ta deg tid til å nyte livet og dele gledene med dem du har rundt deg,ikke la andre legge premissene for ditt fremtidige liv.

Evigvarende likør

Ca 3 liter fine plommer,jordbær og blåbær
4dl sukker,
1 flaske sprit
6–8 plommesteiner
1 vaniljestang
4 lime i fine skiver

Del plommene i to, ta bort steinene
Fyll et stort Norges glass med plommene og bærene.
Hell over sukker og sprit til glasset , en splittet vaniljestang lime . La glasset stå med lokk i 2– 3 måneder. Sil av likøren.
Plommene som er gjennomtrukket med sprit, smaker deilig som dessert til juleselskapet med pisket krem, eller du kan bruke dem i en pai.

Jeg smaker hele tiden,fyller på med hva jeg har,enten det er bær eller sprit,det blir bare bedre å bedre ........
